Deception

A simple enough question, but how Jonathan McQuarry (EWAN McGREGOR) answers it will change his life forever. A corporate auditor adrift in a sea of New York’s power elite, Jonathan’s work is his entire life. But a chance meeting with Wyatt Bose (HUGH JACKMAN), a charismatic corporate lawyer, introduces Jonathan to a decadent playground for Manhattan’s executive upper crust. For these power brokers, whose eighteen-hour workdays leave no time for a personal life, there’s "The List" (the original title of ‘Deception") - a sex club, of sorts, where the right cell-phone number and four simple words ("Are you free tonight?") can lead to an evening’s sexual fulfillment.

It’s a world of "intimacy without intricacy," as Jonathan’s first conquest (or vice versa) explains to him, and through The List Jonathan discovers a side of himself that he didn’t know existed. But an affair with a ravishing and mysterious stranger known to Jonathan only by her first initial ‘S’ (MICHELLE WILLIAMS), will expose him to yet another world he never imagined - one of betrayal, treachery and murder.

This is the first movie in which Michelle Williams, the mother of the late Heath Ledger’s daughter, can be seen on the big screen.

Rogue

Greg McLean’s first box office bomb, "Wolf Creek," took audiences (the few thousand idiots who paid to see it on the big screen), on a frightening, fact based road trip through the darkest parts of Australian Outback and the depraved human mind. Journeying home again, this time to the crocodile infested waters of Australia’s remote wetlands, the director’s wildlife boat tour is more down-under "Jaws" than "Crocodile Dundee." Joining a beautiful local tour guide (Radha Mitchell) and an American writer on assignment (the to-die-for Michael Vartan), the rest of this thriller’s food chain is composed of tourists and adventure seekers alike. Waiting in vain to be rescued on an ever-disappearing parcel of dry land, you will never guess their next move…as terror lies just beneath the surface. (If you saw "Primeval," you have already seen "Rogue." The directors of each crocodile movie fought to get their films in theaters first. "Primeval" won, but bombed at the box office. So why would anyone in their right mind think that "Rogue" can or will outdo "Primeval," which itself was a bomb at the box office? Well, actually, no one, not even the movie studio releasing "Rogue," The Weinsten Co., has any hope for "Rogue" on the big screen. It gets a release in only 10 cities on April 25, 2008. And expect it on DVD in May 2008, where it will undoubtedly be in the bargain bin by June 2008.

Today April 22, is the 7th year death anniversary of my beloved father, I really missed him. Every year we are commemorating this event in our home, together with my brothers and sister and their own families, we’re offering a mass, small salu-salo, videoke (it is our father’s favorite) . This is the time were we can have our family reunion. But except for this year, maybe due to financial crisis, and other personal reasons, our eldest brother says he can not go home because of his family’s problem, our kuya also is busy with their business. But I accept the reality that, time is always change, unlike before, even though how busy we are, we will still spend time for our father. I will remember my father always, his good virtues, being generous, kind. I miss you Tatay! wherever you are now, I know you are happy for us, you are happy for me, I offer my success to you.

Bloodline

If you saw or read "The Da Vinci Code," you already may have some questions. But the movie "Bloodline" allows for more questions about Jesus Christ and the family he may or may not have produced on earth.

"Bloodline" investigates the popular belief that Jesus married Mary Magdalene, who fled to southern France with their child. In an adventure worthy of "Indiana Jones", filmmaker Bruce Burgess and team crack the shadowy secret society, known as the Priory of Sion. Their investigation follows clues linking the Knights Templar and the legend of Mary Magdalene with messages embedded in the decor of the famed church at Rennes-le-Chateau in France, leading ultimately to stunning discoveries: a buried chest with artifacts dating to 1st century Jerusalem and a hidden tomb filled with treasure and a mummified corpse draped in a shroud bearing a distinctive red cross.

Do these discoveries finally provide the proof that the "Bloodline" exists?
